Information Sharing
Consent to Sharing: By submitting your information through our signup form, you consent to being matched and introduced to other TownLinc users with compatible routes.
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With matched carpoolers and the TownLinc community: When you create a profile, your name and general neighborhood are visible to other TownLinc users. Destination and timing information you post to the community board is visible to all TownLinc users within your zip code. We do not share your phone number or email address with other users — all communication happens through our in-app messaging feature.
- Service providers: We use third-party services that process data on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, database, email, and analytics providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
